Well what do you think about this little 79 strong photo gallery hey ? Yesterday the 5th and the waves were absobloodylutely cranking here on Bali’s West Coast. I did an early morning surf check on the Outer Reefs around 6.45am (re Twitter) to find wave height still only showing in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. Wit a clean off shore wind already in place.

We knew there was more swell still in transit to us here on the “island of the Gods” and we only knew too well where the best waves were going to be found, Uluwatu. As it shows in today’s gallery the Main Peak down at Ulu was delivering the goods with 4-6ft waves rolling through all day, there could have also been a couple of freakies a touch bigger as well. We hung out till around 2pm before heading back to Home Base seeing as though it was Taco Tuesday in town. It was pretty alarming down at Uluwatu to see some people trying to get out the back and into the line up when they could hardly even lie on their surfboards. There was also a few beginners swept away down around the corner as well with the Bukit Lifesaver’s called in from Padang Padang to rescue. Some people have no idea how much power is in these waves.

Driving home back past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there looked to be some nice lines peeling off down the line of Impossible’s and there might have been a few training waves at Padang Padang as the tide dropped out.

Weather wise, just another hot and sunny day with the wind blowing hard off shore from dawn to dusk.

Today the 6th and I haven’t been down for a surf check yet but I know there’s still plenty of waves for us again today. It’s pretty cool outside right now at 7.00AM indicating that the wind is already coing out of the ESE. “So let the good times roll” The sky is clear and there was a huge moon setting over the West as the sun was rising in the East.

The next tide today will be a 2.5mtr High around the 11.00am mark.
