BALI
9th – 10th May 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for your daily run down on surfing and weather conditions, and all the photos. From right here on our first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, BALI.
Ok so as it shows in our current 59 strong photo gallery the boys and I made the run down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Mainly due to the fact that there wasn’t much chance of finding any better waves anywhere else. But it was worth the effort and it’s always good to hang out down at Uluwatu with the super friendly locals. Wave height was only in the 1-3ft range but every now and then a slightly over head freak set would roll into the Main Peak. There was also a few little clean lines breaking down on the Temple section. Surfing conditions were as good as they get with clean off shore wind and some very clear blue water.
Weather wise it could not have been any better either with just blue sky and sun shine for the beach lovers here on the holiday island of Bali.
This morning the 10th and our 6.45am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was only showing, or just showing wave height to be in the 1-1ft+ sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. So it looks like we’ll be splashing around up along the beach breaks later this morning. But don’t worry this is Indonesia folks and we certainly do have more swell in transit to us as I type.
So do yourself a favor and get down to your travel agent and book yourself a ticket to the real surfers paradise, Bali.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High around 1.30PM
Weather wise outside right now it’s another mostly blue sky with the temperature sitting on 26 degree’s at 8.00AM, Humidity is already at 90%. Wind direction is NE and 1-2knot.
Ok friends have a good one and if your waiting for Slim to reply to your email please be patient, the surf will die down eventually and he’ll get back to you ASAP.
Call in and see a real Bali surfing legend Mr Ketut Menda here in Bali. You can find Ketut at his surf shop “LEGEND SURF” here in Jalan Raya Tuban most afternoons along with any surfing accessaries you may need.
I’ve also just loaded another surf up date from our friends at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp so check it out.
