Hey surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (delivering the goos since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views from here on the must do tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali Indonesia.
Ok so our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was once again only showing wave height in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was almost on the bottom of the low at the time and the wind a light NE’r. No much ay all breaking on Kuta Reef or Airports and only Middle Reef had a just ride able wave.
So just for the sake of going for a paddle we headed back up the coast to Canggu hoping to maybe find some 2-3 footers. Arriving around 8.30AM to find that the SE Trade Wind was already starting to kick in (cross shore at Canggu) and wave height in the 2-2ft+ class. But there was a few waves on the Sand Bar and on the River mouth and it was great to see a couple of the Worlds best surfers out there doing what they do best, surfing. As a matter of fact it was pretty much a star studded day and a good turn out of Quiksilver riders all in one place.
Weather wise it was pretty ordinary at Canggu with a mostly cloudy type of day with some bursts of sun shine. By the time we packed it in around midday it was looking like it was going to rain up there. But back in Tuban the sun has been shining all afternoon.
Ok friends that’s about it from me today as we are going to be up and on the road before the sun rises tomorrow. And not just the biggest swell of the year but one of those swells that you only see every 10yrs or so, maybe more.
