17th – 18th June 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Bali / Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the place to be in 2015, Bali Indonesia.
Ok so as you know the waves just haven’t let up here in Bali and we have been going hard and surfing them everyday with our current crew from Hawaii. Today’s 78 photo gallery was shot by our right hand man Ketut up at Canggu on the 17th and as it shows off the local boys and girls were putting on a super hot performance in the water. All of them were tuning up for the up coming Quiksilver surfing event scheduled for this weekend.
Yesterday the 18th and my crewwere hunting waves down on the bukit at Balangan. Actually our first surf check (Twitter) was over on the East coast at Serangan. And if the SE Trade wind hadn’t already kicked in that’s where we would have been surfing. Wave height at Serangan was in the 3-4ft class and there was only 2 other surfers in the water having some fun.
So like I said we headed South West to Balangan. Our first impression from the hill was of 2-4ft waves and a clean off shore wind and maybe 20 surfers spread through the long line up. But by 10.00AM the swell really started to pour in and it wasn’t long before wave height was in the 5-8ft class and some perfect waves peeling through. I’ll get those photos edited up for ya’s ASAP and give you a look at just how good it was down there yesterday.
This morning the 19th and it’s still to dark outside yet for a surf check but we’ll be heading out shortly to go get some more liquid gold. So stay tuned and keep an eye on our Twitter and Instagram feeds for inbetween up dates ok.
The next tide this morning will be a 2.4mtr High around 11.30AM
