BALI
14th – 15th June 2015
Hey folks welcome back to your baliwaves (leading the way in Bali surf reports since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views (118 new photos) on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali Indonesia.
Ok so we’ve bard hard at it on the wave hunt the last couple of days with dawn patrol after dawn patrol cause that’s how we roll when the conditions are right. So here’s 115+ new photos that we smashed up at Canggu yesterday morning here on Bali’s best coast (West Coast). We pulled into the Sand Bar car park around 6.15Am just as the sun was poking it’s head over the horizon to find wave height still a healthy head to double head high on all main sections in the Canggu area.
There were only 3 other surfers already in the water on the river mouth already, no one on the Sand bar or at Echo beach. But the right hand river mouth break was were the action was at. Conditions were perfect with a rising tide and the wind clean off shore. We were straight out there cause being Canggu we knew that it wouldn’t be long and every man and his dog were going to be out there, and that’s how it went. But we still managed a good hour of semi un crowded waves before the troops arrived, check the photos for the proof. Stand out surfer had to be you ng local grommet and Quiksilver surfer Rio Wiada who was absolutely tearing the right hander to pieces.
Today the 15th and we were still in dawn patrol mode arriving at Balangan beach at 6.10AM to sadly find wave height only showing in the 1-2ft class, Surfing conditions were ideal with the wind light off shore and the tide on the make. But alas it just wasn’t breaking, so from there we motored on down to Uluwatu. And as you know it would be Ulu was still delivering chest to well over head high waves on the Peak and Temple sections. By the time we were settled in at Surya Warung it would have been 7.00AM and by then there were already around 50 surfers spread from Temple’s to the top of the Track. But you also know they were mainly learner surfers and there was a helluva lot of waves going through un ridden.
Hang in there friends and we’ll get today’s photos up for ya’s ASAP. But you may have to wait another 24hrs as we have yet another special little road trip planned for our guests again tomorrow morning. So maybe if your in the know we’ll see you out in the line up in the morning.
Weather wise it’s been just another hot and sunny day here on the “island of the God’s” and what else would you expect in Bali ?
