BALI
11th June 2015
Hello crew and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday Bali Indonesia.
Our day started off like most others with a 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Wave height was still showing in the 3-5ft class between Kuta reef and Airport left and showing some good potential. The tide was still fairly high but the wind at the time was coming out of the North. So we waited for the tide to bottom out and the wind dedicate to the ESE.
Sorry no new photos today (Bingin 10th June) as we surfed out on Second Reef just to the South of Kuta Reef, there’s no defined channel at this spot so no camera’s. We cruised out in a friends reef boat and even on the bottom of the low tide there were still 9 surfers in the water on Kuta Reef, while Middle Reef had a solid crew of 15 surfers. But we had noticed some nice ones peeling off with the odd 100yrd ride on Second Reef and only 5 surfers in the water. There was a couple of older zombies there that didn’t want to say hello but the rest of the guys were good as gold and happy to take turns for the next couple of hours. The zombies drifted off back towards Kuta Reef anyway. Wave height where we were was a solid 4ft with a couple of double head high freak sets thrown in. I’d forgotten just how good it gets here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban, and how good it is to be able to walk to the waves.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny one here in Tuban and right now at 2.30PM the outside temperature is a warm 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 74%. Wind direction is pure Trade wind comin gout of the ESE at 8 – 12knot.
Ok tomorrow I think the boys and I have a dawn patrol penciled in so stay tuned and keep an eye on our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the morning and I’m sure we’ll have some new photos for ya’s later in the afternoon ok.
