Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination by the name of Bali.
Ok here’s a little bonus of 66 photos that we shot down at Padang Padang late yesterday afternoon. According to Ketut it wasn’t quite big enough for Padang Padang to be doing it’s think but there was a few bigger set waves that came through just before dark that did make the cut.
Today the 8th and our 6.45am surf check (twitter) on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the 3-5ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still a touch low at the time but the wind was already fresh outta the ESE.
So my team decided to head down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu to tap into some power and size. Uluwatu was still delivering set waves in the 6-6ft+ range on the Main Peak and a little bit smaller further down at Temple’s. Surfing conditions were not too bad with the tide rising and the wind straight off shore at 15knot.
Weather wise today we had a mainly overcast morning down on the bukit but now here in Tuban at 3.00PM there’s a lot more blue sky and the temperature sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is East at 12 – 15knot+
