Balangan 29th June & Jbay 27th June, 30th June & 1st July 2015
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next surf mission to Bali Indonesia since back in 1999) for our latest up date and another 100+ photo gallery from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday that’s really got something for all levels of surfing, Bali.
Ok well we certainly hope you have been enjoying the last few days of up loads here on the baliwaves. Mega swell at Uluwatu, thick and round tubes at Padang Padang plus the video clips, G-land and Bali beach girl galleries. Well here’s another mega gallery that we shot with the first section featuring Balangan beach still breaking solidly in the 5-8ft class on the 29th of June.
The second segment and majority of the gallery was shot by Ketut when he took our guests up the East Coast on the Saturday the 27th when the big swells started to push through. We were trying to get our crew into some long long waves at this location but only managed to score it at head high. This place can hold it up to triple head high and can peel off for 200yrds. But not this swell.
Yesterday the 30th and it was one of our crew’s last day in Bali and when I asked him if there was anywhere he’d prefer to go for a paddle at he said “well fk we’ve been surfing hard over reef and rock for the last 9 days how about we just go have some fun down on the beach breaks” too easy I say. So we loaded up the truck and sped off down to Kuta beach. The only problem surfing Kuta beach is trying to find a car park but luckily we did and proceeded to go get some waves. But it wasn’t all fun and games with the Halfway area still producing some solid waves for the beach breaks and a lot of dredging 4ft closeouts and a strong off shore wind and current to match. But in the end everyone was stoked.
This morning the 1st of July and it’s still too dark right now at 5.40AM for a surf check but we’ll be heading out on the wave hunt after breakfast around 6.30AM. So stay tuned and check out all the photos and I think Troy has loaded up another new and totally cool video clip from our friend Bruno. I met Bruno while he was filming Padang Padang on Sunday. Thanks again bro.
Oh yeah you’ll also notice that the baliwaves WEB CAM featuring the long line ups of Impossibles is back on line so that’ll help fill ya day if your bored at work.
Weather wise in Bali it’s been typically hot and sunny on tera firma but I do have to say the water temperature has cooled down with all the off shore wind, yesterday it would have been below 20 degree’s Celsius.
