BALI / INDONESIA
10th – 11 July 2015
Hi surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so here’s a solid 100+ photo gallery that we shot over on Bali’s East Coast yesterday morning before the tide and wind took the shine off the waves.
We took a break on the 9th after putting in some long days and some long road trips. The Outer Reefs here in Tuban were only showing 1-3ft waves between Kuta Reef and Airport Left so we figured we didn’t miss out on too much.
On the 10th our first surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing a little more size and punch with 3-5 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light and variable.
So I mobilized Ketut and had him take a run over to the East Coast to see what was going down in the Keramas region wave wise. He hit the main break around 7.45AM to find wave height in the 3-4ft range with a clean off shore wind and only 20 – 25 surfers already in the small line up. So the second phase of today’s gallery has the main break photos while the opening photos were shot down the road a little ways and feature a few familiar faces from the Padma Boy’s Boardriders club. Up the road at “Krupuk Point” the swell was flowing through with more size than Keramas with some double over head plus set waves peeling off for the boys.
Weather wise on the East Coast yesterday there was a lot of cloud cover with some patches of sun shine. Pretty well just hot and sunny here in Tuban from midday on wards.
Today the 11th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban had wave height back down into the 2-3ft class between Kuta reef and Airport Left with the odd bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the ling light out of the N – NE.
The baliwaves Impossibles Web Cam was still showing waves in the 2-3ft+ range peeling down the reef this morning, check it out for yourself here.

Weather wise outside so far is showing a mostly blue sky with some thin light cloud. Right now at 7.55AM the wind is still super light and variable so go take your pick where you wanna surf.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.8mtr Low just before 1.00PM.
It also looks like Denpasar International airport is still closed due to volcanic ash drifting in from East Java.
Stay tuned cause while I’m out having a quick surf with my guests I’ll get Ketut to hit the bukit and see whats happening down on the Southern end of Bali.
