BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th July 2015
Hello everyone and always a big thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (doing our best since on line in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
First off I have better wish all my Family and Friends a very special Selamat Hari Raya Galungan dan Kuningan here in Bali today.
Actually yesterday I spent half the daylight hours taking my family up to our family village in the foot hills of Mt Agung. It was an easy drive up there with plenty of background noise in the car but only had the stereo for company on the way home. It’s a very scenic drive up the top NE end of the island and plenty of post card type scenery along the way. It’s always soothing to get back up there I just wish I could a hung out for a day or two, but, duty calls right.
Anyway here’s another 50 odd photos that Ketut snapped off down at Uluwatu the other day. Uluwatu always delivers the waves here in Bali and has got to be one of my favorite places to hang out. You can see from the photos that wave height was in the 2-4ft range and according to our man Ketut there was even a few sly bigger set waves hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections.
I’ve also loaded ya’s up another Bingin photo gallery thanks to our friends at EGO surf photography down at Bingin beach so make sure you check them out as well while your here.
I haven’t had time for a surf check this morning sorry crew as I am feeling a little bit rough this morning from all the driving I’ve done this last week and maybe because of the Tuak I was drinking here at home last night with some friends ? But I have managed to check our baliwaves Impossibles WEB CAM it does appear wave height is still in the 2-3ft class on Impossible’s so that’s gotta put Uluwatu in the 2-4ft+ class right.
Weather wise outside it’s overcast and grey with the SE off shore Trade wind already blowing hard. There is some blue sky showing towards the Southern end of the island and I think that’s where we will be heading shortly.
The next tide today is going to be a medium sized 2.4mtr High around the 9.30AM mark and we also have a New Moon rising tomorrow night so get ready for some solid tide differences.
Ok have a good one what ever your doing today and stay tuned to the baliwaves through our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the day for more up dates.
