Ok so for our Sunday Session this morning we thought we’d keep it local and head out to the Outer Reefs via a reef taxi or “jukung”. So as the tide was starting to run back in we made our way out for a closer inspection. We could already see from shore that Kuta Reef was looking busy and the waves already getting to fat. This was around 9.00AM and just past the mid tide mark. So we headed the other way down to the channel at Airport Left. From this position we could see 25 surfers sitting on Middle Reef with wave height in the 3-4ft+ range. But Airport Left only had 10 surfers in the water and it was looking pretty good and that’s the call we made.

Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at first with the wind coming lightly outta the WNW. It was around 10.00AM that the SE Trade wind kicked in.

Weather wise it’s been a perfect Sunday here in Bali, nice fun waves, warm water with blue sky and off shore wind.
