BALI / INDONESIA
9th – 10th August 2015
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so on Sunday we called a lay day for the team but I ended up having a swim and pushing my 5yr & 7yr old kids into a few 1-2 footers up at Canggu. We were up there on the midday low tide and by that time it was pretty well blown out anyway. But still nice in for a swim and a splash.
Today the 10th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was again showing wave height in the 1-2ft, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with maybe a freak chest to head high set wave on Middle Reef. As the Trade wind got stronger and stronger today the Outer Reefs were not looking up to their usual perfection that’s for sure.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery Ketut took the highway South to Indo’d premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Ketut phoned through shortly after arriving to say wave height was in the 2-4ft range on Temple’s and the Main Peak. He also mentioned at 8.30AM it was pretty quite down there.
I also loaded a few frames from our free to view Web Cam that over looks Impossible’s and there was a bit of a wave but also a bit of a wait for a set wave.
Weather wise it was a nice morning with some cloud moving at midday. Our SE Off shore Tradewind did it’s usual thing and gradually got stronger and stronger through out the day.
Hopefully tomorrow we will see and feel a little more swell on our reefs and beaches so make sure you stay tuned to our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the day and see what we have got going on.
