BALI / INDONESIA
5th September 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (Indonesia’s first on line surfing website since back in 1999) for the latest news and our very best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday morning and my 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running out at the time and the wind was light on shore out of the NW. No surfers in the water that I could see while I was on the scene.
So we lazily made our way back down to Uluwatu knowing that that’s the location that would be producing the best power and size with the small waves on offer. Arriving right on the bottom of the tide to find wave height was also pretty small, in the 2-2ft+ sector on the Racetrack. The wind was also still blowing light on shore outta the NW. So we hung out for a while and as the tide did start to roll back in wave height was slowly but surely starting to grow. By the mid tide mark I’d have to say the were some solid 4 footers hitting the Main Peak. Crowd wise it also got a little crazy also as everyone started arriving by late morning.
Weather wise it was typically just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island.
