BALI / INDONESIA
31st August – 1st September
Hi everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves (posting photos from all over Bali and Indonesia since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next Indonesian surfing adventure, Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 31st we snuck back over to the East Coast to a different location and even though we were just a touch late for the optimum conditions we were still lucky enough to score some insane waves. Wave height was in the solid 5-8ft class (up to 4 times over head) and surfing conditions were clean and glassy for our first hour before the SE Trade wind started kicking in. The other bonus was that there was only one other surfer in the water with us for our first session, then 3 others on our second session.
This morning the 1st of September and we were up early and on the road before 5.00AM heading for J-Point. Arriving around 6.45AM to find wave height was still only in the 2-3ft range and a clean off shore wind. The tide was also just starting to run in and as it did wave height grew into the chest to well over head class and some long rides going down. Crowd wise there were 6 surfers in the water when we first got there and probably peaked at around 20 surfers. Not quite as big as we were hoping for but all the same I didn’t see any sad faces on our crew.
Weather wise we passed through some heavy rain on our way down the coast but all in all it was basically just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island.
Alrighty, I’ve also loaded another gallery and reports from G-land and also from up in the Mentawai Islands so get on it. That’s it for me today so have a good one what ever you got going on and we hope to be seeing you here in bali before too long right.

This HD all sports action camera comes complete with all attachments for helmets, surfboards bikes etc etc plus the water housing for the low cost of Rp1,500,000.
