BALI / INDONESIA
13th -14th September 2015
Hi surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weathe conditions here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so here’s another truck full of photos from yesterday morning and the afternoon of the 12th. Yesterday we were more concentrated on finding less people / zombies in our waves so we snuck back over to the East side of the island. Our first stop off was a 6.45AM surf check on Keramas to find some 3-5 footers breaking nicely for the 25 surfers already in the water. So we threw off and back tracked back down the coast. A few hours later I was talking to a surfer who had just come from there as well calling 40 – 50 surfers in the water, so we made the right call I think.
Our next surf check was showing 3-5ft waves but with only 2 surfers just paddling out so everyone was stoked and straight out there. Surfing conditions at first were pretty tidy with the last remnants of the early morning off shore wind before glassing off then an hour or so later we had a light on shore wind. The number of surfers did eventually increase to around 20 but there were still plenty of waves for everyone.
Weather wise we were blessed with another hot and sunny day here on the “island of the God’s. Yesterday also saw a New Moon rise so get ready for some big tidal ranges, especially some dry reef exposing afternoon low tides.
This morning the 14th and it’s just gone 6.15AM here in Bali and just about time to wake up the guests and go do a surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Have a good one where ever you might be today and stay tuned right here to the baliwaves for more surf up dates through out the day via our Twitter and Instagram feeds. Because I don’t think there is going to be any shortage of swell today.
