BALI / INDONESIA
6th – 7th October 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so starting off today’s report with our photo gallery that Ketut shot down on the bukit at Bingin yesterday the 6th. Ketut was down at Bingin and set up by 7.30AM. He also said that there were only around 10 surfers in the water, we were hoping to catch the Bingin locals in action but we had to take what we could I guess. As it shows there were some slick waves hitting the reef and some nice and tidy tube sections for the crew that were in the water.
This morning the 7th and our 8.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Right. Surfing conditions were as clean as it gets with a light off shore Easterly wind. Not too many in the water either this morning and is the norm as we head towards the middle of October, numbers usually drop off. I was talking to an Aussie surfer after he had just come in from surfing at the Rights since 6.00AM and he said there were only 2 other surfers in the water with him for the first 45 mins before two boat loads with 13 surfers hit it in one go. But still that’s not a bad number for there.
Our team made the trip back over too the East coast again this morning, arriving at our destination by 7.45AM. Wave height was in the 2-4ft range with clean and glassy surfing conditions. Looking at the photos there were some clean and glassy fun sized waves with maybe 25 surfers already in the water by that time. We’ll get ya’s some of them photos to look at asap ok, so stay tuned right here.
It also looked like there were plenty of waves happening here on Bali’s West Coast as well, feel free to check our baliwaves Impossibles Surf Cam anytime in day light hours (Bali time).
Weather wise out there today we did have some cloud cover early this morning but that didn’t last too long before the sun was powering. Right now at 3.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 32 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 81%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 12 – 17knot.
Our next moon phase will be a Full Moon coming up on the 12th of this month.
We should also see a little more swell out there by late this afternoon / early tomorrow morning. With still plenty more to come before the end of this current Dry Season.
