BALI / INDONESIA
30th – 31st October 2015
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the with out a doubt World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 30th and our team was back over on the East Coast of Bali looking for waves and managed to find some fun sized left and rights in the 2-3ft class. Not a bad effort with the measly amount of swell we have had for the last few days. We were on the scene by around 8.45AM just as the tide was starting to run back in after a super low and reef exposing morning low tide. Crowd wise it was also pretty good with only 7 surfers in the water at first. A couple of surf schools did turn up and take advantage of the small waves, but they didn’t stay out too long.
Weather wise where we were it was bloody hot out in the sun with the temperature having to be in the mid 30’s on the Celsius scale. So if your coming over this way soon make sure you bring plenty of that 50+ sun screen.
This morning the 31st and I am happy to say that our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing a nice little spike in size with 2-3ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The other thing that helped put a smile on my dial was the fact that the wind was blowing light and clean off shore outta the East.
I’ve also dropped a couple of images into today’s photo gallery that I copied from the baliwaves.com free to view Impossible Surf Cam. Conditions are also looking inviting down there as well.
Ketut is down at Balangan this morning and at 9.00AM he was calling in wave height at waist to head high. Surfing conditions clean and smooth as silk. Crowd wise there were 7 surfers in the water at the time.
Looking for a little bit more size then Uluwatu would be the place to look this morning.
Weather wise outside today on the “island of the Gods” it’s perfect ! Clear blue sky with a light off shore Easterly wind. Temperature wise right now at 10.00AM the mercury has already hit 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 80%.
We’d also like to wish all the competitors up at Medewi this morning the best of luck in the Medewi Boadriders surfing contest event that is scheduled to run today.
Tomorrow the 1st of November and we hope lady luck is with us as Ketut and I will be competing in the anual Kuta Beach Fishing Tournament. We are expecting a big turn out of local and international fishermen with the weigh in at 2.00PM on Kuta Beach behind the “art markets”
Alright then friends we hope you are enjoying the weekend so far, and if you are already here in Bali, then we know you are !
