BALI / INDONESIA
2nd – 3rd October 2015
Hi folks and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination on Bali.
Yesterday the 2nd here in bali and there wasn’t too much happening on the surf front that’s for sure. Here in Tuban it was pretty well flat between Kuta reef and Airports with a strong SE wind grinding up to 20knot by midday. Ketut even took a run up to Bali only to find it was just only in the waist to shoulder high range.
This morning the 3rd and our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer reefs was showing a nice little increase from the day before putting wave height in the waist to head high range. So we headed back down to Uluwatu hoping to be there for the rising tide and swell. Arriving just before 9.00AM to find wave height in the 2-4ft range and a little bit inconsistent. Surfing conditions were clean with a fresh off shore Easterly wind and only 10 surfers in the water.
Wave did get a little more consistent as the tide pushed in and every now and again there was a couple of double head high set waves. The crowd how ever peaked at around 130 *surfers spread from Temple’s down through to the top of the Racetrack. I just checked out free to view Surf Cam over looking Impossible’s and it does look a bit bigger again. So tomorrow morning is shaping up for waves here in Bali.
Weather wise today down on the bukit it was a mostly hot and sunny day. The wind did go a bit hay wire there for a while swinging back around to the WSW – S through late morning. But has since swung back to the ESE – SE and gusting up to 25knot.
Ok friends that’s me for now but make sure you check in tomorrow and see what we were surfing.
