BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th October 2015
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 14th Ketut was up at the ever popular hipster hang out venue of Canggu. But luckily enough for us all there were some of the local boys in the water tearing the waves to pieces. Ketut arrived around 8.00AM to find wave height in the 2-3ft range with an occasional over head freak set. Some nice fun sized waves on both river mouth and sand bar sections, and surfing conditions staying pretty clean woith a light off shore wind until the SE Tradey kicked in. And again baliwaves.com is happy to keep promoting our local Indonesian surfers as we have done for the last 17yrs :-)
Weather wise yesterday it was a mostly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with a few cloudy patches through the morning then just a hot and sunny afternoon.
Today the 15th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off into the 2-2ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind only just a light ENE’r.
So while I’ve been at home editing and answering emails I had Ketut to take the carea gear for a run down to Uluwatu to see if there was anything happening wave wise at Bali’s premier surfing location. But even at the swell magnet of Indonesia wave height was still only in the 2-3ft range with one or two slightly bigger freak sets as the tide was filling in. Surfing conditions how ever were faultless with the ESE Trade wind doing it’s off shore thing.
Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon we should see a new pulse of swell arriving in Indonesia, so stay tuned right here to your baliwaves ok.
Weather wise today we did have some early morning rain and my garden and lawn was stoked for that I tell ya. But since then it’s been just another hot and sunny day here in Bali. Temperature wise right now at 3.56PM the mercury is riding on 29 degree;s Celsius, Humidity is at 80%, Wind direction is SE at 12-17knot.
The next tide today will be a 0.4mtr Low at 4.50PM
