BALI / INDONESIA
11th November 2015
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo tropical surfing holiday since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from the happy little holiday island that has something for everyone, Bali.
Ok well this morning started off pretty wild and woolly here in Tuban with pre dawn thunder and lightning mixed in with some heavy rain. Oh yeah and the wind was howling on shore to boot. But just around dawn the wind dropped off and the rain slowed down, but still grey and overcast up stairs. Then the wind started to slowly shift to the ESE and back to off shore here on Bali’s West Coast.
So we loaded up the car and made a bee line down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Arriving to see some nice and tidy 3-5 footers peeling off the main Peak and Temple sections with the tide still running in. At first the numbers in the water were very do able but by midday there was a little bit of um, to put in nicely, learner mayhem going down. As it shows in today’s 50 strong photo gallery it was cranking at Ulu today. Surfing conditions were as good as it gets for this time of the year and a real bonus for anyone still stranded here in Bali with volcanic ash problem at Denpasar International.
Weather wise like I mentioned it was touch and go early this morning but even as we were making our way down to the Southern end of the island the clouds were starting to roll back and show us some of that famous Bali blue sky. By late morning were back to full blue sky and sun shine at Uluwatu. Some cloud has filled back in this afternoon here in Tuban and I thinks we might be in for some more thunder storms some time tonight.
Ok that’s it for us again today but keep an eye on the baliwaves as we have something special planned for tomorrow morning. Thanks again for taking the time out and we hope to see you here in Bali soon.
