BALI / INDONESIA
21st – 22nd November 2015
Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves for our “Sunday Session” For our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so yesterday morning we were up at a reasonable hour of the morning and on our way looking for waves by 6.30AM. After picking up a couple of friends along close by we were soon checking the waves at Balangan down on the Southern end of the island. At first it wasn’t looking too good with fat & full 1-2ft lines peeling off the point. But we kinda knew that as the tide runs out and the it shallows up a bit Balangan would have some head high set waves in the near future. We also knew that we could choose to surf these not so perfect waves with only a hand full (around 10 other surfers) or head further down South to Uluwatu and get better waves but with a whole lot more surfers and learners in the water. So as usual, not so good waves with less surfers one over better waves with more surfers, every time.
Weather wise down on the bukit end of the island it was your typical hot and sunny Bali type of day. Temperature wise the mercury peaked around 33 degree’s Celsius. The wind eventually dedicated to the SSE around 10.00AM
This morning the 22nd and our 6,30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a little bit of swell and some fun looking waves in the 2-3ft+ range breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. The tide was high at the time and the wind light off shore out of the ENE.
Ketut has taken a run up to Canggu and phoned through at 7.30AM (re Twitter) reporting that wave height was in the 3-4ft+ range on all 3 of the main breaks in the area. Canggu as usual had no shortage of surfers especially seeing as though we have a nice sunny Sunday happening here on the holiday island.
Stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website and we’ll get you a bunch of photos to check through ASAP. Thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves.
