BALI / INDONESIA
13th November 2015
Hello surfers and thanks for taking the time out to stop by the baliwaves (doing our best to keep you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the Worlds No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-3ft range breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a breath of off shore wind. The tide was pretty low at the time so only Middle Reef which works beest on the lower end of the tide was an option for a paddle.
So Ketut volunteered for to the camera gear for a run down to Uluwatu and hopefully find a little more size and power at Indonesia’s premier surfing location. At first report Ketut was calling wave height in the 2-4ft class, but as the tide rolled in so did some solid set waves pushing into the 6ft range. We were also lucky to find a few local surfers out there tearing it to pieces. Surfing conditions were clean as it can get with the wind blowing clean off shore outta the ESE before slowly swinging more to the SSE as it usually does through dry season conditions.
I’ve also thrown in a few images I grabbed off our free to view surf cam that over looks Impossible’s. And it shows there was no shortage of long lines racing down the reef there as well.
Weather wise the sky was a little bit grey and dull looking early this morning but by midday it was all clear blue sky and the mercury was up around the 33 degree Celsius mark. Right now at 4.00PM there is some more cloud starting to fill in and the wind is now blowing hard outta the SSE – SE up around the 12 – 17knot class at times.
