BALI / INDONESIA
6th – 7th November 2015
Hi surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so another couple a big days for our crew here in Bali, the waves have been pumping non stop and we have been right amoungst em. We have also been clocking up a few K’s to keep the variety happening.
Yesterday the 6th we were up and on the road heading West to Medewi. And you know what with this day and age of technology it’s pretty hard to go wrong ,even surfers can cash in and use it to make any surf trip pay off. We scored at Medewi, arriving in time to get into some solid 3-4 footers with clean off shore wind, most of the waves while the tide was still in were running for a good 200mtrs, some longer. The first 40 or so photos in today’s photo gallery were shot at Medewi.
Today the 7th and we thought we’d scoot back over to the East side of the island to check out a couple of other locations and hopefully score some right handers. Our primary location was showing potential but with the mid range high tide we had today was just looking a bit too gnarly on the end section with a good chance of getting some reef tattoo’s. There were no other surfers in the water at Kapung Pt this morning.
From there we kept heading up the coast a little further for a surf check at Keramas. Our first glimpse of the line up was showing 16 surfers in the water with wave height in the 2-4ft range and conditions still clean and glassy (as it shows in the second half of today’s photo gallery). The crowd probably peaked around the 22 mark and even though numbers were reasonably low for this place there was still plenty of dropping in going down by the International visitors.
I also got in a sun set surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban and there was still some chest to over head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with the wind blowing light cross / off shore.
Weather wise it was hot and sunny for the majority of today with the midday temperature hitting 33 degree’s Celsius.
Ok friends that’s me for today but we’ll be back out there again tomorrow trying to find some good waves. So stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report website.
