BALI / INDONESIA
17th November 2015
Hi folks and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right her on the place that you would much rather be, Bali.
Our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was really only showing wave height to have dropped off down into the 1-2ft range with maybe just a slightly bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef while the tide was low. Surfing conditions were clean with the wind only light out of the N-NW.
So with the wind right Ketut took a run up the coast a little ways to Canggu. Arriving at 7.30AM to find wave height mainly in the waist to shoulder high region with some bigger head high set waves hitting the Sand Bar section. Surfing conditions were as expected clean and tidy with the wind light off shore out of the North. But by 8.45AM it was already starting to swing back around into the Western Quadrant. Ketut was saying that there was around 20 surfers in the water on sand bar and just a couple of surfers starting to ride the right hander on the river mouth as the tide started to push in.
Weather wise we have had just another mostly hot and sunny day here in Tuban and right now at 1.50PM the mercury is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 75%. Wind direction is now coming out of the WSW at 10-12knot.
Ok so as it happens each and every year here in Bali the season has swung from winter to summer or dry to wet. Even though we haven’t had much rain yet the day time temperature is sure warming up. We can expect some small waves for awhile but believe me our summer season still gets plenty of perfect waves happening. So get into your travel agent or on line and get your tickets to surfing paradise booked asap.
See ya’s soon ok
