BALI / INDONESIA
28th – 29th December 2015
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since way back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 28th and we set off in search of some waves over on Bali’s East coast. Arriving at our first destination Cupang Pt to find wave height in the 2-4ft range with the wind still 90% off shore and only 10 surfers in the water. My friends were keen to check out some other locations so we headed towards Keramas for a look. K-Mas by 11.00AM also had waves in the 2-4ft class but by that time the wind was already blowing on shore.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery we ended up back at the ever popular location of Serangan. And as it shows wave height was still pouring through in the solid 3-6ft range (head to tripple head high). Serangan also handle’s the SW wind pretty well, blowing mostly off shore with a touch of cross and holding up the left handers nicely.
Weather wise we had a mostly hot and sunny day over on the East Coast yesterday with the midday temperature easily busting through the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Today the 29th and as per our morning twitter up dates, Our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Wind direction was coming out of the West at 3-6knot.
But Ketut hit the road around 7.30AM heading for the East Coast and has phoned through from Krupuk Pt calling in wave height to be a nice hollow 2-4ft with some clean off shore WNW wind on it. So hopefully Ketut will bring home the goods later on, so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website.
Weather wise outside here in Tuban today there’s pretty well nothing but blue sky over us and it’s shaping up for a very warm and humid kinda day here on the holiday island. Outside right now at 10.45AM the temperature is already at 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 80%.
Ok have a good one friends and all the best for the coming New Year, “lets hope it’s a good one, without any fear” John Lenon
Alright then, just before I shut’er down today make sure you take some extra care and allow some extra time on the roads in Bali over the New Year period. This is always the very worst that your going to be seing traffic kaos here in Bali with so many people driving their cars over from Java and then just doing non stop laps around Bali.
We’d also like to give a special welcome aboard to our friends at Channel Island surfboards Bali who have come on board with baliwaves for 2016.
