BALI / INDONESIA
20th – 21st December 2015
Hello friends and thanks for turning up here at the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report website since back in 1999) for the start of a new surfing week and our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so today’s 50+ photo gallery is looking a little more like it. Yesterday the 20th we were on the road just before dawn and on the wave hunt again. We made our first stop at Secrets just after sunrise to find that it just wasn’t quite big enough again and lacking a little bit of tide. But otherwise there were some ok shaped little waves with clean off shore wind on it.
From there we up to Dragon Fly Pt for a quick stop but we kinda knew it would also be a touch to shallow, but we were still hoping right. There were 2-4ft waves hitting the shelf but like we knew it would be it was too shallow and the tide still dropping. So just for the hell of it we thought we’d check up at Keramas to see how the numbers were.
It was nice to only count 18 surfers in the water at Keramas with wave height a consistent chest to over head high. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy and still enough water over the rock to get out there and have some fun. It’s also looking scary over there at Keramas with a whole lot more new building going on right in front of the wave.
Weather wise it was a mostly over cast morning with intermitant rain for the first hour or so. Then pretty much over cast for the rest of the day with a patch of sun shine or two through out the afternoon.
This morning the 21st and right now at 5.10AM the rain has just stopped and the wind has backed right off. So give us another 30 mins and we’ll be strappin the boards on the truck. Stay tuned for more up dates and info through out the day ok.
