BALI / INDONESIA
26th – 27th December 2015
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (doing our best to keep you amped up for your next Indo surf mission since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok yesterday the 26th we thought we’d try and escape the numbers at Serangan so we headed further up the coast to Kripik Pt. There was a good sized 2-4ft of swell getting in there but bu the time the tide was rolling in the wind had already swung to the SSW and on shore. From there we headed up to Keramas wave height Keramas was only in the 2-3ft+ by this time and the wind also on shore. But there were a few sneaky little end section walls so we that did us for a quick paddle.
Today the 27th and with the wind already dedicating to the WSW early we pretty much were not left with too many options other than to head back to Turtle Island and see what was going down. Wave height was still a solid 3-5ft (head to double head high) and the wind was still ok, mainly off shore with a bit of cross in it. The set waves were A framing nicely but there was a bit of a wait for the better ones.
Weather wise it was grey and dull through the early morning with more patches of sun shine starting to appear by late morning. No rain fall crossed our path again today.
Alright then, just before I shut’er down today make sure you take some extra care and allow some extra time on the roads in Bali over the New Year period. This is always the very worst that your going to be seeing traffic chaos here in Bali with so many people driving their cars over from Java and then just doing non stop laps around Bali.
We’d also like to give a special welcome aboard to our friends at Channel Island surfboards Bali who have come on board with baliwaves for 2016.
Now hear this, Joyo’s G-Land Surf Resort is offering you all a 25% off discount for anyone wanting to go to G-Land in 2016. Conditions are, all you have to do is CONTACT US first then book and pay before 31st January 2016 and you will be given an OPEN voucher for anytime in their 2016 season and save serious dollars in the doing.
