BALI / INDONESIA
10th – 11th January 2016
Hi surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (Non stop surf reports and tonnes of photos from Bali since back in 1999 to keep you amped up for your next Indo surf trip) fpr our latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Rightio then here’s another 40 odd photos that we shot yesterday back at Canggu. The conditions have just been perfect for up there the last few days and I would have to image it’s cranking up there again this morning. As it shows in our photos wave height was in the 2-4ft again or chest to over head high with a clean off shore wind that lasted through until 9.30AM.
Weather conditions out there on the 10th were hard to beat, especially if your here on holiday. Loads of blue sky with a light and variable wind through the morning before dedicating to the S-SSE by mid morning.
Today the 11th and what a great start to our surfing week here on the Island of the God’s. Our man called through early this morning from down at Bali’s premier surfing location calling in chest to well over head high waves with super clean and glassy surfing conditions, with only a total of 10 surfers spread through the big line up. That was just after the tide started to run back in this morning. Ketut has since phoned back in calling wave height to be pushing the double head high class and still with a light and clean off shore wind. Hopefully he shoots us some sick photos to load up later this evening
Weather wise outside right now at 9.15AM the mercury is already sitting on 32 degree’s Celsius (sunscreen) with the humidity on 69% and cloud cover at 9%. Wind direction is now coming lightly out of the SE and should swing a little more to the SSE by midday.
The next tide today here on Bali’s West Coast will be a 2.3mtr High around 11.00AM
Oh and just before I click out of here I’ve also loaded up a new PRODUCT REVIEW on baliwaves so make sure you check this one out as every surfer should get to do this for at least a day.
While I’m still here I better remind you new crew that’ll be coming to Bali about sun protection while your out surfing. Especially if your fair skinned and not used to the harsh tropical sun. Keep that sun screen and zinc cream on thick and don’t stay out in the water for too long until you start to get some color. I’ve seen some terrible sun burned victoms of late that have really no one to blame but their silly selves.
And while your at it make sure you drink at least a couple of litres of water everyday, that’s at least. So skip the soft drink and have a bottle of water and you’ll really be doing yourself a favor.
