BALI / INDONESIA
15th – 16th January 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest nes and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Maroubra / Australia 15th January 2016 Congtats to Bali’s Made “Bleronk” Darma Yasa won his Round 2 heat today to make it into Round 3 in his first WSL QS event outside of Bali today in Marounbra, Australia! He and fellow Bali resident Rio Waida will both be competing tomorrow, so cheer them on. Good luck boys!
Ok then so here’s the goods from where we were at yesterday the 15th, Canggu. We pulled into the *old car park in front of the sand bar section to find some nice and clean waist to head high plus lefts grinding through over the sand bottom. Surfing conditions were perfect with the wind coming lightly outta the NE. Canggu at 7.30AM had around 30 surfers in the water on the sand bar as the tide was still way too low for the Pererenan rights to be doing their thing. As it shows in our photo gallery from yesterday the local lads and girls were tearing the waves to pieces.
Weather wise it was just another very hot and sunny day here in the tropics.
Today the 16th and our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height breaking in the waist to chest high range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with no wind.
Weather wise outside right now at 8.15AM the temperature is already on 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level at 74%. Wind direction is now coming lightly out of the SSW.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High just before 3.00PM
Sorry folks but we won’t be doing any shooting or surfing today as I’ll be heading up into the mountains shortly to get some tradition massage done on my shoulder. But tomorrow it will be business as usual on the baliwaves.
