BALI / INDONESIA
5th – 6th March 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (The one and only baliwaves since 1999, so don’t be fooled) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok friends well to start with here are 40 photos that our man Ketut shot over on Bali’s East Coast at Keramas yesterday. As it shows in the photos wave height was a semi consistent 2-3ft with the occasional bigger freak set. Surfing conditions while Ketut was on the scene were pretty good with hardly any wind leaving the waves nice and glassy smooth. Crowd wise Ketut was calling an average crowd of 25 surfers in the water.
Weather wise on the East side yesterday morning it was mostly cloudy but no rain through the morning.
Today the 6th and our 8.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing wave height to be breaking in the 1-2ft+ sector between Kuta reef and Airport lefts. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind at the time blowing lightly off shore out of the ESE. There were surfers in the water on all 3 of the main breaks this side of the airport runway. It wasn’t until around late morning that the wind switched back to the WSW – S and on shore again.
Weather wise it’s been a funny old Sunday here in Tuban. We started off with a mostly hot and sunny morning, then some midday rain before clearing away again and more sun shine by early afternoon. Right now at 4.00PM it’s back to overcast and the chance of some more evening rain. The temperature outside right now is still a warm 32 degree’s Celsius, while the wind is now coming out of the South at 5 – 7knot.
Ok we hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend and stay tuned to the original Bali surf report cause we will be back out there tomorrow on the wave hunt with the start of another surfing week here on the island of the Gods.
