BALI / INDONESIA
22nd – 23rd April 2016
Hi crew and thanks and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 22nd and we made our way back to Canggu hoping to score some perfect waves and perfect conditions. And that’s just about what we got for our buck. Wave height as it shows in today’s 50+ photo gallery was hitting the 4ft mark with some nice waves on all 3 of the main sections at this place. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore wind that hung in there until around 11.00AM. Crowd wise there was a tight pack on the river mouth but not too bad on the other sections.
Today the 23rd we were hoping to see the start of our new swell so we made our way down to the Southern end of the island to Uluwatu, Bali’s premier surfing location. Driving past Impossible’s and Padang Padang there was only a week 1 foot wave barely breaking. But Uluwatu was delivering some 2-3ft waves with 4-5ft set waves hitting the Main Peak. Surfing conditions were as good as it gets with an off shore ESE wind fanning the waves. Crowd wise it wasn’t too bad either.
Weather wise outside today it’s been hot and sunny as usual here in Bali with a midday top temperature of 35 degree’s Celsius.
Ok that’s me for now but stay tuned to the original Bali surf report as we’ll be back out there somewhere scoring more perfect waves. Especially with a little more swell predicted to show through Sunday.
