Damai Bungalows, South Sumatra
4th April 2016
” Early season surf has been pretty typical over the last week, from small to overhead depending on the tides, direction out of the SW which has meant when it pulses the points have been lining up nice, not a lot of crew around which has meant the wave magnets as well as the premier breaks have all been quite uncrowded.
Winds have been light offshore, kicking up a little around midday then abating for the arvo session, mostly staring out of the NE, tending to the S to SSW. Weather has been very good after the giant storm that bought down trees a fortnight ago. Still getting occasional rain at night which cools it off nicely.
Over the last week we’ve hosted mainly couples so as much as surfing the crew were keen to check out what else West Lampung has to offer, we’ve included photo’s of a day spent out at Banana Island as well as a newly discovered waterfall not far from Damai which has proven a popular activity of an afternoon
Thinking of heading up this way this season? Hit us up at www.damaibungalows.com for availability and pricing for both Damai and Villa Oline, bookings are good but still have space to fill, get on it as it looks like this year numbers overall may be down a bit which means more waves for those that are around”
