BALI / INDONESIA
5th – 6th April 2016
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali and Indonesia’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical holiday island destination of Bali.
Ok so like I mentioned in yesterday’s up date how our friends from ESP (Ego Surf photography) had dropped us off some photos of Bingin. Well sorry to take so long getting them on line, but worth the wait, featuring some of Bingin’s local surfers and a big thanks to Mul and the boys at Bingin for the photos, drop in say hello to the crew at ESP next time your down at Bingin.
Today the 6th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy.
News in from Uluwatu at 11.30AM had wave height in the 2-4ft range with the wind light on shore out of the SSW – S
Weather wise outside right now at 11.45AM has the mercury on 34 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 70%. Wind direction is SSW-S at 2-5knot.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.3mtr Low @ 3.30PM. Today also have a New Moon rising tonight, so we will be seeing some big tidal ranges over the next week
We have also loaded a new surf up date from the nice folk at Damai Bungalows tucked away in South Sumatra so check that out while your here.
Coming up on the 13th of April Keramas Beach will be closed to the surfing public for the annual JPSA surfing contest. I think it runs for the best part of a week.
Come to Bali for a week this September 2-9. Watch Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts etc) and Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) perform 6 gigs in 7 days at Hidden Valley, Resort on The Bukit. Slick accom at unbelievably affordable rates.
