BALI / INDONESIA
6th – 7th April 2016
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves (telling how it is since back in 1999) for the latest news and our best views on surfing and weather conditions here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so seeing as the surf has been a little bit on the ordinary side the last couple of days we have just got you a quick photo gallery that we shot late yesterday afternoon and early this morning.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-2ft class with a light off shore wind. So with out too many options at hand we headed back down to Uluwatu. Ulu was trying to deliver a few peaks but the solid 2.5mtr mid morning High tide was filling in and fattening them up fast.
Weather wise it’s been brutally hot the last few days and today was pretty much the same. We did get a little more cloud cover this afternoon and it has nicely cooled things down a touch.
Tomorrow we are hoping to get a small bump in the swell so we’ll be hitting the road early to see if we can find some decent waves. So stay tuned for up dates through out the morning.
Coming up on the 13th of April Keramas Beach will be closed to the surfing public for the annual JPSA surfing contest. I think it runs for the best part of a week.
Come to Bali for a week this September 2-9. Watch Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts etc) and Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) perform 6 gigs in 7 days at Hidden Valley, Resort on The Bukit. Slick accom at unbelievably affordable rates.
