BALI / INDONESIA
16th – 17th April 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Great to see some swell hitting Bali yesterday. Ketut was down at Uluwatu from around 8.00AM and at first wave height was only coming through in the 3-4ft range. As it shows in our current photo gallery wave height by mid morning was pushing double head high plus on the Main Peak and Temple sections. Surfing conditions also started to clean up nicely by mid morning with the wind dedicating to the ESE – SE and off shore between Kuta beach and Uluwatu.
Weather wise yesterday we had another hot and sunny Saturday here on the island of the Gods.
I’ve also had a disk full of photos dropped off to us from the boys (ESP) down at Bingin and as soon as I get this lot sorted out for ya’s I’ll work on getting them on line for you.
This morning the 17th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still looking pretty good with chest to over head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Right. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the tide still running in. I’d say there would be a lot of quality waves on offer today all around Bali and most parts of Indonesia for that matter.
Weather wise outside right now at 11.00AM we have a Sunny Sunday with pretty well just blue sky. Temperature wise at the moment the mercury is sitting on 33 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 69%.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.9mtr Low around 2.00PM
The next Moon phase will be a Full Moon coming up on the 21st of this month.
Swell wise it looks like wave height will be backing off over the next 2-3 days before we see another medium sized swell turn up in Bali. Then fingers crossed we will have a couple more back to back swells arriving, with more swell behind this. Better get those tickets to Bali booked ASAP crew.
