BALI / INDONESIA
27th May 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (delivering the goods on Bali since back in 1999) for today’s news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the real surfers paradise and pure tropical surfing holiday destination on Bali.
So as you may have noticed in this mornings Twitter feed our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-3ft class with a few slightly bigger waves hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the tide only just starting to run back in,
But as it shows in today’s photo gallery we were back up the coast a little ways here on Bali’s West Coast at Canggu. Wave height was hitting all 3 of the main sections in the 2-4ft class and maybe a couple of slightly bigger one’s hitting Echo Reef. Unfortunately there was a body surfing contest.. being run on the main break break, but the Sandbar was also pumping through some hollow sand bottom barrels. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy while we were on the scene and quite a few surfers in the water as per usual.
Weather wise today there was still a few drops of rain about after some heavy rain through the early hours of the morning. But it didn’t take that long to clear away for another hot and sunny one here on the holiday island. Temperature wise right now at 4.50PM the mercury is on 33 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is out of the East at 8-12knot.
Hopefully tomorrow we will be seeing another pulse in wave height that should keep us going until the next bump on the 30th. Which in turn should keep us in the water until another solid swell sweeps through on the 1st of June.
