BALI / INDONESIA
4th – 5th May 2016
Hello folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali
It’s time for another 50+ fresh photos straight outta Bali that we shot here the wave riddled West Coast. The surf was so good on the 3rd here we just had to back it up and do it again, and it was almost a carbon copy of the day before with 3-4ft+ waves and an early morning clean as you like off shore wind.
Yesterday the 5th and right on track was another new pulse in swell that put wave height back up into the 4-6ft+ sector along Bali’s West Coast. We did a quick surf check at Balangan beach (twitter) to find wave height in the 2-4ft+ range but with the high tide on it it was just too fat and wobbly.
So from there we bee lined it straight to Uluwatu where we knew it would be cranking, and it was. First up on arrival things were looking real good with clean and tidy over head to triple head high plus set waves. A bit too un organized for Temple’s but the Main Peak was delivering some solid waves for the crew in the water. The fun lasted through until late morning when the wind started to slowly swing to the SSW. It wasn’t until maybe 1.30PM that it changed back to the SSE. I also couldn’t believe my eyes when I say total kooks (learners) being pushed into 5ft waves at Uluwatu. But all the same it was good fun to watch bahahaha.
This morning the 6th and right now at 4.40AM we are just about to shower up and then hit the road to see whats happening up at one of my favorite spots. So stay tuned for further up dates and info via our twitter and instagram feeds ok.
Oh yeah and if you didn’t already know there is another contest running over at Keramas, which seems to be the norm these days for this once pristine location. Good luck to the local boys in the event !!!
