BALI / INDONESIA
28th – 29th May 2016
Hi folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves (keeping it real since 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the with out a doubt No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so yesterday afternoon we decided to take a run down to Uluwatu to see what was happening. But due to an um.. “technical problem” we had some memory card issues, nothing lasts for ever right. So we had to settle for some wide angle photos instead of our usual up close and personal photos that we do prefer to take. But any you can kinda get the picture.. wave height down at Uluwatu wa sin the 3-4ft range with an occasional bigger freak set coming through every now and then. The best waves were on the Main Peak with a few up on Temples as well.
Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossibles there was a 2-3ft wave wave running down the reef at Impossible’s and some 1 footers for the surf schools at the top end of Impossibles. Nothing happening on Padang Padang at that size.
This morning the 29th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still showing a few waist to head high waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport left. The tide at the tide was still running out for 1.0mtr Low around 9.00AM so Middle Reef had the better and bigger waves, as it usually does. Wind direction was light with just a touch of ENE in it.
Weather wise out side right now at 8.15AM we have a mainly bright blue sky and the temperature is already a warm 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 78%. Wind direction is now light out of the East.
Ok peeps I think we will be taking a run up the coast shortly so stay tuned for more up dates and info via our Twitter and Instagram feeds on baliwaves. and in the meantime have a read of this from the smart blokes at beachgrit.com
