BALI / INDONESIA
28th – 29th June 2016
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping it real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the very best views (from all over Indonesia), on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok well sorry about the absenteeism over the last couple of days but we have been out there but the weather has not been the best for shooting photos to say the least. Hey not that it’s been cold, Gawd no ! It’s just been a little damp to say the least. Anyway here are a handful of photos we managed to shoot between showers from down the southern end of the island at Balangan and today’s effort way up the west coast of Bali at Medewi. Today was again 100% worth the drive with 3-5 footers peeling off for a good 300mtrs. Our new swell really hit with a boom yesterday the 28th but it was pretty much a non stop rain day and the wind was a little bit variable and funky for the most of it. Kuta Reef was probably one of the better waves on offer but crowded.
Weather wise today and we did have rain through the morning but settling back to just a mainly overcast. No rain this afternoon yet but there’s a chance we will get a few more drops some time tonight. I have to say we have had more rain through the month of July than what we had through the whole 2016 wet season, weird or what.
Stay alert dept, with all the rain and water discoloration the last week make sure you stay alert if your surfing close by any river mouths for men in grey suits.
Anyway wave height was backing off this afternoon but that won’t stop us from heading out for another dawn patrol again tomorrow. So stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report website.
