Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so here’s the photos that we shot yesterday down the South Eastern end of Bali near Nusa Dua. As it shows in the pics wave height was in the 3-4ft class with clean off shore wind through until the SE Tradey started to crank up around 11.00AM. We were also lucky enough to have it all to ourselves for the first 2 hours or so before a good friend turned up with a few of his guests.
Today the 20th we took it easy this morning and made our way up to Funggu around 7.30AM. Once again our timing was pretty good, wave height was in the 2-4ft class with more of that magic off shore wind. Even better numbers in the water were unusually low. The river mouth was producing the best waves with the high tide putting some back wash on the sandbar and at Echo. Surfing conditions stayed clean and tidy through until around 11.00AM when the Tradey started to kick in in earnest.
Weather wise it’s been a good one here on the holiday island with just blue sky and sun shine. Right now at 5.00PM there is still no cloud in sight out my window.

I’ve also included a bunch of the photos from the Uluwatu Boardriders Challenge Presentation that concluded another fantastic surfing contest here in Bali yesterday afternoon. A big congratulations to all the competitors and sponsors involved and I’m sure this event will be on again next year.
Ok friends of Bali I have to bail out and start getting ready to BBQ some fish and Kingy’s for our crew and I’m sure the Bintangs are icy cold as well. Have a good one and stay tuned right here to the one and only original Bali surf report website.
Take care department, last night I had an email from a friend who had all his camera equipment stolen from the car park at Balangan beach (southern end). So please don’t leave any valuables in your car or under your bike seat. If anyone does hear of anyone a bit dodgey selling a Canon 7DM2 and 100 – 400 lens drop us a line pronto.
