BALI / INDONESIA
17th – 18th June 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali and keeping it real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible vies on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 17th my 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was not looking the best. Wave height was in the 2-3ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with Middle Reef picking up the bigger set waves. Pretty ordinary on Kuta Reef and Airports at the time with a light cross / on shore wind. Not too mention plenty of surfers already in the water
So we decided to take a run up to legian and see what the World famous beach breaks were producing. At first glance we were stoked with some clean and tidy lefts peeling off in the 2-3ft class (head high). But by the time we got in the water the ball game had changed and we were now dealing with 3-4ft dredging close outs ha ha ha. But still we managed to find a few walls and have some fun in the Bali sun.
I did get another look at the Outer Reefs just before sun set and Middle Reef was cranking through some solid 4 footers with a strong off shore wind fanning it.
Weather wise yesterday it was another hot and sunny day for all the beach lovers here in Bali.
Alright then friends it’s just gone 6.25AM over here (18th ) and time to start making my way down the beach for a swell check on the Outers so we can plan today’s surf trip for our crew. Have a good one and stay tuned to the original Bali surf report for more info and up dates through out the day.
The next tide over here will be a 2.3mtr High at 8.30AM
Take care department, last night I had an email from a friend who had all his camera equipment stolen from the car park at Balangan beach (southern end). So please don’t leave any valuables in your car or under your bike seat. If anyone does hear of anyone a bit dodgey selling a Canon 7DM2 and 100 – 400 lens drop us a line pronto.
