BALI / INDONESIA
15th – 16th June 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for joining us here at the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for another round of news and photo views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alright I’m finally starting to get back on top of things after spending too much time in the water and sunset sessions. So here’s another 53 photos that we have captured over the last two days of waves here in Bali.
The bulk of this gallery was shot up the coast at Medewi. On the drive up there it was one of those days when every truck and bus driver seems out to run you off the road, but we made the 2 hr drive and were stoked to score 3-4ft waves peeling off for 200yrds. Surfing conditions were perfect with a light off shore wind that lasted until around 10.45AM. Crowd wise there were a few surfers in the water but we still managed to collect our share all the same.I do have to admit that the water quality was terrible with a lot of crap and stinky fresh water flowing out of the river after a big storm the night before.
The last handful of images were taken down at Balangan yesterday morning and as usual it’s always a good day to hang out down there. 2-4ft waves with a light off shore wind and maybe around 30 – 40 surfers scattered through the line up. Not too mention the usual array of beautiful women basking in the sunshine.
Weather wise after the early morning rain we had a mostly hot and sunny day with the midday temperature well over the 30 degree Celsius mark. Then just around sun set the thunder and lightning kicked in again with some rain to cool everything back down. Right now at 6.00AM it’s still a little dark to see what’s happening but you can pretty well put the house on it that it’s going to be another perfect day in paradise here in Bali
The next tide today will be a 2.2mtr High at 8.00AM
Take care department, last night I had an email from a friend who had all his camera equipment stolen from the car park at Balangan beach (southern end). So please don’t leave any valuables in your car or under your bike seat. If anyone does hear of anyone a bit dodgey selling a Canon 7DM2 and 100 – 400 lens drop us a line pronto.
