BALI / INDONESIA
25th August 2016
Hello everyone and thanks again for checking out the baliwaves (keeping surf reports real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the absolute best views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Rightio so this mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have bounced back into the 2-4ft class, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. The tide was still running out at the time and getting towards the bottom so Middle Reef was looking the best at the time. Surfing conditions were clean but with the wind light out of the NE.
So armed with all that surf data I didn’t hesitate to bundle Ketut off with the camera equipment, back down to Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. It was the low tide Racetrack section we were after and that’s what we got. Just about every photo in today’s new gallery features a surfer getting shacked on the Track. At 8.30AM there were already 30 surfers in the water hunting for Racetrack tubes. Unfortunately not one of them was a local surfer. Surfing conditions couldn’t have been better for the Racetrack with the wind out of the ESE.
Weather wise there was a couple of clouds driften through this morning but more or less it’s just been another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Right now at 1.30PM the mercury is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is coming fresh out of the ESE @ 9-13knot.
