BALI / AUSTRALIA
3rd – 5th August 2016
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves ( keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Here ya go and a big pat on the back goes to Ketut for putting in a huge effort to get us some more great photos. After getting some of our crew in for a paddle along the beach breaks of Jimbaran he knew he had to make another run back down to the bukit to catch some of the RipCurl Padang Padang Cup that had been running most of the day. As it shows in the photos it wasn’t all time Padang Padang perfection but it was still pretty good with some exceptional surfing going down. A big congratulations to all the competitors and to Mega Semadhi for taking out his second Cup win.
Ketut has also thrown in a handful of photos from down along the beach breaks of Jimbaran from the morning. These beach breaks only appear when the swell gets massive and can be a last resort for any surfers that are not up to big Uluwatu or Padang Padang.
Yesterday the 4th and Ketut was back out on the road early heading over to the East Coast to see what was happening at Keramas. Arriving to find wave height in the 3-5ft range with just under 30 surfers in the water. So the boys decided to head for Krupuk Pt where there also scored some clean 3-4ft+ waves with only a handful of surfers in the water.
Today the 5th and Ketut has called through this morning calling 3-4ft+ right handers peeling off with 8 other surfers and the wind clean off shore, he didn’t mention where he was..
Anyway so stay tuned for the photos, I’ve also got more from the Mentawai islands and from G-land that will be on line asap
