BALI / INDONESIA
5th – 6th September 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves ( keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
First of all we would like to wish all our Balinese Hindu friends a Selamat Hari Raya Galungan and Kuningan. Today through till and including the 8th of September is a special holiday period for the Balinese, so for the lucky ones here in Bali expect to see plenty of color and prayers happening at Temples all over Bali.
Sorry for the late delivery on this current 70+ strong photo gallery but here it is and as you can quite clearly see it was kranking over on the East Coast of Bali yesterday. An early morning glass off with 2-4ft+ waves lining up perfectly for those who knew how to thread the barrel. There was a solid crew of wave warriors in the line up and not too many were going through un ridden, but the waves kept coming.
Weather wise over on the East side it was hot and sunny with our midday temperature warming up to 33 degree’s Celsius.
This morning the 6th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height between Kuta reef and Airports in the 2-3ft+ range. The tide was on the bottom of the low at the time so Middle Reef was where the action was at the time.
We couldn’t help ourselves again this morning and Ketut has headed back over to Keramas hoping for some ground hog day. So stay tuned into the original Bali surf report.
I’ve also been getting some email from concerned holiday makers over the news paper selling crap about banning cold Bintangs in Bali. For all our friends, this debate happens every year for years gone by. It does sell some news papers but that’s about it, cheers !
