BALI / INDONESIA
23rd – 24th September 2016
Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first pick tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so to start off the weekend here’s a fresh 40 photos that we shot down at Uluwatu yesterday. We waited for the bottom of the tide before heading down to see what was happening on the Track. We knew it would be delivering after our morning surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing 2-4ft. That’s the perfect size for the Track to spin those barrels. Ketut said there were only around 15 surfers in the water when he arrived and peaking at 25 by the time he left. Just one lone local surfer in the water.
This morning the 24th and wave height here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to be down in the 1-3ft class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was only mid range so there were surfers on all of the main sections with a light NNW wind.
From there I got Ketut to head up the coast to check out the Gu and see if there was a touch more swell getting in there. I haven’t checked the photos yet but Ketut said there were some nice waves on all 3 of the main breaks at the Gu with clean and glassy conditions. No need to ask what the numbers in the water were like at 9.00AM. But as soon as I go through and sort them out I’ll give ya’se on the baliwaves.
Weather wise outside it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day after some overnight rain here in Tuban (south from Kuta). Temperature wise right now at 1.45PM the mercury is sitting on a warm 31 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is now SE at 9-12knot.
