BALI / INDONESIA
31st August – 1st September 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping it real since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so check out this solid 80 strong photo gallery that we nailed yesterday afternoon on the Racetrack sun set session. It was a bit of a gamble hanging out all day waiting for the tide and wind to be just right, but it certainly paid off with some great dividends. Every wave was a winner on the Track yesterday arvo with free flow back door barrels on offer in the winners circle.
This morning the 1st of September and our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing 2-4ft+ wave between Kuta Reef and Airport Right while the tide was still running in and the wind was light out of the ENE. Kuta Reef was looking good but there were already a good crew of surfers on it and lots more getting ready in the car park to hit it.
Seeing as though the wind was light again this morning Ketut volunteered to take the camera equipment for a run over to the East Coast. I haven’t even checked the photos yet but our man reckons it was pretty good in the chest to head high plus range with a light off shore wind. No shortage of punters over at Keramas with the pack peaking at 30 (small take off zone).
Weather wise it’s been a mostly hot and sunny one here on the holiday island. Right now at 2.00PM it’s a very warm 30 degree’s outside with wind now coming fresh out of the SE at 8 – 12knot.
Today also has a Full Moon rising so watch out for those big tidal differences over the next 3-4 days.
