BALI / INDONESIA
18th September 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (Indonesia’s No.1 surfing website, since back when it all began in ’99) for our Sunday Session. Including the latest news and the very best views on surfing and weather conditions from the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so this morning I was going to head over to the East Coast but after taking my pooch (Kelly) for a walk at 5.45AM, and seeing as though the wind had already dedicated to the East. It was cancel the East coast and made our way down to the Southern end of the island and Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions at Ulu were as clean as it can get with a straight Easterly fanning off shore wind and wave height in the 3-5ft range with some 6ft freakies hitting the Main Peak. Temples was also lining up perfectly while the tide was still running in. I had my apprentice (my 8yr old son) with me today so I only took my 600mm set up, but man I wish I would have had my 1000mm lens to do justice to the waves at Temple’s.
Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossibes there was hardly anything breaking on either wave while the tide was peaking for a 2.5mtr High.
Weather wise today it’s been pretty much cloud free with just blue sky from Tuban to Uluwatu here on Bali’s West coast. Temperature wise right now at 2.30PM the mercury is sitting on 31 Celsius, Humidity is at 78%. Wind direction is fresh out of the ESE @ 8 – 11knot
