BALI / INDONESIA
16th – 17th October 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you connected to Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week along with our latest news and best possible views. On surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so I hope everyone has had a great weekend and got plenty of waves under your belts and ready to get back into some work (not). Well here is another 55 photos for you that we have shot here in Bali over the last couple of days.
Yesterday the 16th and wave height was still very small of the better locations and no different at Canggu with only 1-2ft+ waves breaking on all 3 of the main breaks. Although surfing conditions were clean and tidy and there was a few waves all the same. I’ve thrown in a handfull of photos from there at the back of today’s gallery.
Today the 17th and it was all systems go here on the holiday island. While Ketut took the camera equipment for a run over to the East Coast. I grabbed my board and walked down to the Outer Reefs intent on getting a few sly waves in. Lets face it surfing is a pretty self centered thing right. Anyway, as it shows in the bulk of today’s photos there were some nice waves rolling through on the East side of the island.
I jumped off the boat at Airports and was lucky there was only 7 other surfers in the water for the first hour or so. While across on Middle Reef I counted 17 surfers and there was almost twice that on Kuta Reef. And Airports had some really nice waves coming through with set waves that kept growing in height every time they come through. Wave height was in the head to double head high class with a clean off shore wind.
Weather wise another pearler of a day here in Bali, non stop blue sky and light off shore wind here on Bali’s West Coast.
