Ok so here’s the result of our trip back up the coast yesterday. We were rewarded for our solid 2hr drive up the coast to Medewi with 2-4 foot waves peeling off for up to 200mtrs with clean and glassy conditions. The tide was still running in at the time so it was easy getting out compared to the low tide rock hop / sea urchin mine field that’s for sure. But with the high tide cometh the zombies of course. The bottom line was some long fun and workable left handers with a mostly happy / friendly cast of surfers.
Today the 1st of Rocktober and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height in the 1-2ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with a light Northerly wind.
So just for the sake of getting in the water for a splash we headed up to Canggu where we were hoping to find some head high waves. That’s about all it was, waist to head high with one or two freak sets. Like I said it was still great to be out in the warm water and clean little waves enjoying life.
Weather wise it was pretty warm old day until we got lucky with an afternoon rain and thunderstorm that has cooled things down nicely. Right now at 5.30PM the temperature is still sitting on 29 Celsius.

We also have a New Moon rising tonight and we should also be seeing a little more swell start to show through out the day, fingers crossed.
